Sammy came and went in the blink of a eye. Darren signed as a stop gap between other contracts in a busy schedule as Outlaws' second overseas player. Rumour had it that he was offered a chance to play a championship game when Notts were in need but he turned the opportunity down, but nevertheless the West Indian still proved very popular within the dressing room and without also. Sammy was instrumental in one victory, at New Road.
