Rain washed out Outlaws' day of outdoor net practice, the reason for the trip after all; Barbados "where the weather can be guaranteed".

Hot weather had was followed by torrential rain. Hopefully better tomorrow, ahead of the T20 tournament.

Rain in India as well, washed Ireland and Netherlands World Cup survival away and both follow Scotland, all eliminated before the big boys join the party.

10/03/16

With a number of senior players and Jake Ball not available to travel for the annual migration of the lesser-spotted Outlaws to Barbados, some younger players will find that their experience from the trip will be more than just a stamp in their passport.

With no Samit Patel (MCC Duty) Matt Carter will find himself as the only spinner in the party. With Ball absent, again with the MCC, Ben Kitt and Jack Blatherwick will both get a chance to shine in the sun, perhaps.

The "bloody tourists" are:

Jack Blatherwick, Matt Carter, Anuj Dal, Luke Fletcher, Will Gidman, Harry Gurney, Brett Hutton, Ben Kitt, Jake Libby, Michael Lumb, Steven Mullaney, Chris Read, Greg Smith, Brendan Taylor, Riki Wessels, Luke Wood, Sam Wood.
