The toss was had, the covers stayed on. Colin started jabbering in overdrive and the covers stayed on.
6.25 was almost reached, then the rain started. The rained hammered down for 30 minutes then stopped but by this point there was surface water on parts of the outfield.
The mopping-up started.
Eventually after an 8.15 inspection and much deliberation the game was called off, areas of the field clearly still very wet.
