Nottinghamshire used the second day of this friendly to give both Alex Hales and Michael Lumb time in the middle, ahead of the the first Championship game which starts on Friday at Leicester. Brendan Taylor also had a chance to show his recovery from injury.

A young Nottinghamshire Second XI are currently taking a bit of a pasting to a strong Yorkshire Second XI, that includes England International David Willey, at Lady Bay. Notts had a line-up that includes mainly teenagers including some trialists.
