Down Periscope, Brendan Taylor leaves Notts
Brendan Taylor has left Notts to return to Zimbabwe with immediate effect, citing family reasons.
The Taylor family has expanded during his near three season contract at Trent Bridge and signs of strain with the miles between Brendan and his family have been evident at times, (who could forget the sleepover in a neighbour's car incident) and young twins can he a handful for two parents at times, so if one is absent...
But with Notts now with two top order batsmen down, and two promotion pushing CC2 remaining, Taylor's departure, even though being slightly sympathetic towards Brendan and his wife, still leaves Notts in the lurch.
Pujara must now step-up and perform to his full potential, something we haven't witnessed to date and perhaps Billy Root has to grab this opportunity too, should he be given one or will Tom Moores feature as a batsman...?

ReplyDeleteJust to clear the air,I am returning to represent my country again after 3 years and this time I plan to finish my career with Zimbabwe
DeleteThanks for your efforts at Notts. Good luck back in Zimbabwe.
DeleteYes he saved his most telling contribution for the T20 final, but never fulfilled the early promise in the championship. He's left a gap that ha sto be filled with an experienced player.
