G'day
Last Friday the final match in a series of 3 ended in a narrow defeat [by 9 runs] for England . The series finished 3-0 to the Aussies whose strength in depth was a bit too much for this England side. Nevertheless all the games were keenly contested. The England party are now safely back in England having departed from Sydney airport on Saturday evening. The man of the series from England's perspective was Stephen Foster of Yorkshire. So England finished 3rd in the World Cup behind Pakistan and champions Australia. The attached photos are from: 2nd Test at Bexley Oval, a delightful ground in the suburb of Bexley and the 3rd Test from the expansive Alan Davidson Oval in Mascot. The latter is part of a huge Sydney park close to the airport. There is a lot of building work going on in Sydney presently as typified by the development at Mascot as shown.
Cheers Andy
