Spoke to a couple of Warks 2s players yesterday, one with surname Miles who both confirmed Patto was bowling down there in the nets so that's a very good sign indeed
ReplyDeletethat is good news. Hope he's back next week bowling rockets
DeleteSo do I, At the very least it might stop Warwickshire preparing a wicket for their fast guys if they think they might have to face Patto
ReplyDeleteLooks like Surrey have been ambushed at Edgbaston, Jeetan Patel cashing in
ReplyDeleteYes in the last 4 CC games at Edgbaston before this one, the average wicket haul to spin per innings has been 3, 1, 1, 2.25
DeleteIn this game with 3 wickets remaining at tea on day 4 the average is 5
5.5 in this game.
DeleteThat's a marked increase...
I remember first day of season when we were top for an hour or so..! Now we will be rooted to the bottom, and if Patel can skittle out Surrey what chance have our lot got..? And really CA allowing Patto to play for us again..,,?
ReplyDeleteSo maybe it won't be a wicket with pace, Let's hope Matt Carter is up for this match which already has a relegation scrap feel about it...
ReplyDeleteYes, also what about a completely left field selection in Liam Patterson White if it's another Bunsen burner ? In addition to his spin threat he is in form with the willow having hit two back to back tons for the stiffs. Probably too risky to play him though so presumably Samit has to come back into the side somehow?
DeleteLeader I think the young fellow should play. None of our other batsmen are showing form enough to stop him. Be interesting to see him bowl too.
