The 2025 annual contains 256 information packed pages - 32 of which include colour photographs. The annual has been expertly put together by Wade Print & Paper Ltd; with many thanks to Bill Taylor and Gordon Smithurst. The Cricket Lovers’ Society really appreciate the support that has been afforded to them by Notts CCC and also the advertisers who continue to loyally support the publication.

The annual contains the following:

·         Extensive 21-page record section

·    A detailed review of The Blaze (with a summary of the season written by their Director of Cricket James Cutt) and Notts Women in 2024

·         Full coverage is also provided of the Men’s and Women’s Hundred

In addition, there are an array of interesting articles. Contributors include the Notts CCC Lead Psychologist Chris Marshall who explains his role at Trent Bridge; Tim Crow who is currently in the process of writing the first-ever biography of Clive Rice, contributes a piece on how Rice ended up arriving at Trent Bridge 50 years ago in 1975; Peter Smith contributes articles on John Morris, Jimmy Anderson at Trent Bridge and the Zimbabwe – Trent Bridge connections; Nottingham Cricket Lovers’ committee member Martyn Shaw summarises their 2024 programme and activities; Steve LeMottee has written a comprehensive piece on the Trent Bridge heritage activities which took place last year along with news from the Trent Bridge Library; Alan Odell summarises the Trent Bridge Tours during 2024 and David Beaumont reminisces on how Trent Bridge looked during his younger years during the 1950s and 1960s.

We would wish to record the help given by the following individuals who have greatly assisted the editorial team (David Beaumont, Peter Smith, David Richards, Bill Russell, Steve LeMottee and myself) by providing material for the Annual:

Matt Freeman (Head of Communications at Notts CCC); Anne and John Cusworth (Notts Second Eleven scorers); Chris Reavill (Notts Premier League); Gary Edginton (Gunn & Moore South Nottinghamshire Cricket League); Neil Fenwick (Bassetlaw and District Cricket League); Michael Layton (Mansfield and District Cricket League), Martin Booth (Notts Youth Cricket League); David Richards (Newark Colts Youth League); David Wagstaff (Mansfield and District Youth League); Mike Beard (Bassetlaw and District Junior League); Richard Stanton for a summary of the 2024 season for Notts Over-50s first and second-teams and Ian Diapaolo for articles on Disability, Kwik and Walking Cricket.

    WELL DONE TO ALL !
When Notts ccc decided to step away from the publication it would have “ died” without all the unpaid volunteers stepping up to the plate and producing a very professional report of the seasons goings on .
