Pleased for him.
ReplyDeleteTraditional thing would be to launch into our management, but this has come as a surprise, perhaps even to him !
Enjoy it Ben !
pleased for him is exactly what I was going to say
ReplyDeleteDon’t think I would have given him a new deal. Didn’t really do anything to suggest he would make it in his time with us. I was there when he scored his 200 for the stiffs but you have to factor in the standard of bowling at that level. Also, his age he is no spring chicken so just dishing out new contracts is a difficult one and i guess the club took the decision on him. Presumably we see more future in Lord Budinger and Matt. Montgomery at their younger ages. But, as per above, good luck to him and i hope he carves out a 3 to 5 year career with Kent . I guess you could argue there’s not much competition for places for the top 6 and it looks more ironic with our openers struggling to find form, albeit very early days and Hameed looked very good until he unluckily got run out and then got a nasty lifting ball second time around.
