Now Common Knowledge Around Trent Bridge (after a senior club official broke the in confidence comments, if they were indeed, in confidence)...
Treated fairly shoddily by the last England management regime, Stuart Broad is waiting to see who is put in place as replacement, and what vibes they give him about his future England prospects, before deciding if to retire or to continue playing. A new MD in Robert Key has just been appointed but no head coach as yet.
Stuart is also said to be livid about comments made by former captain Joe Root, with relation to to improved morale and dressing room atmosphere on the tour of the West Indies with the absence of certain senior professionals. Root has now gone, but no obvious replacement appointed.
Stuart, a multi-millionaire (republicworld.com estimate his worth at $69M in 2020), obviously doesn't need to continue playing and has already etched a successful career path in the media. He also has his pub venture with Harry Gurney.
Stuart does keep himself in excellent shape, being a supreme athlete and total professional.
