Further update from the Notts Members Group
We had a constructive meeting on Monday with Lisa at which she agreed to go away and think about how the club will involve the members in how it should vote on any changes to the domestic structure that actually get to that stage. We hope to hear from her before the EGM or, if not, at it.
She also confirmed that the EGM will be streamed on Zoom and that voting via that medium will be possible. Proxy voting, however, will not feature.
I also have a couple of other links that I think would be useful background for members in advance of the EGM:
Thanks,
Dave Gunn

1) I see there is a petition recently started by change.org BUT the one we really need Notts members to sign is the one from Grantham etc as this allows us to capture of email addresses and also understand ’which county are you a member of’.We currently have around 250 Notts members BUT we need as many as possible so we can email out things like ‘we really need you attend the EGM’. Here is the link: https://www.countycricketmatters.com/post/campaign-to-save-first-class-cricket
2) Members of the ’Notts Action Group’ which was behind the EGM call (ie me and a few others) are meeting Lisa on Monday to explore ways in which the members can work WITH the club to properly assess the latest Strauss proposals in advance of any vote the chairman might make on our behalf, something that will probably happen by the end of November. We hope some form of member engagement can start well before the EGM on Nov 1 and that there will be ‘positive news’ to report at it.
3) Here are a couple of useful links to media items that capture very well the concerns around the country:

Keep an eye on what she says. When her lips move she’s lying, when they don’t she’s think about the next set of lies. Foxy.
ReplyDeleteAgree with the above, a stain on the club
ReplyDeleteThe administrators up and down the country have lost the goodwill of life long cricket lovers. An easy going lot generally who may moan, but have put up with every fad and fancy , root and branch review with a sigh and a shrug for decades. It’s time to take notice of the vast , until now silent majority. Foxy
ReplyDeleteThe members are revolting, pursehouse has always thought that, is it starting to dawn on her that she needs to save her own skin?
ReplyDeleteMr Gunn have you gone soft? 1/ Distancing yourself from the Lancashire Action Group by changing your name to "Members"rather than "Action" - is this a signal of intent ie: no more ACTION 2/ Allowing Zoom voting, giving the Chair opportunity to swing the vote with his faceless mates (don't tell me the Zoom link will only go to bona fide full members) 3/ "Lisa will go away and think about it" - and she's now off the hook to continue to do her work as normal for the ECB against the 18 counties.Lisa has shown to have little respect for members opinions and views in the past, her driving agenda being the wants of the ECB and profit.
ReplyDeleteI get the impression that Dave Gunn has now been assimuilated in some way.
The worry with the name Notts Action Group would be it being abbreviated to NAG, not a good look eh.
DeleteVote no confidence and remove this duplicitous woman. Foxy
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update. I had been wondering why remote access had been possible for the Forum, but not for the EGM. But you’ve sorted it
