  1. Averages in t20 are hard to equate to how well you have done as t20 is generally how fast you score your runs as opposed to just how many you accumulate
The stats this year, however, clearly show the reason why we had such a poor season. And it was a poor season, just scraping into the qtrs in that North Group was hardly any achievement. Leicestershire were woeful and Durham, Northants and Derby bang average
With such an average player like Tom Moores finishing with the highest average and 2nd top run scorer, behind Joe Clarke, just tells you how much of a shocker most of the other batsmen had.
An improvement on last year, obviously as we did reach the qtr finals this time and the club will no doubt cling onto this “minimum achievement expectancy” success as they normally refer to it in this way.
Other teams have obviously caught us up and now overtaken us in this format
You would normally expect Hales to reach a century once or if not get to the 90s probably twice in 15 games and effectively win 3 or 4 games himself.
Hope last season was not the slow decline of a once great t20 player, probably the best white ball batsman Notts have ever had down all those years.

  2. 80 NOT OUT
As the famous quote goes- “ time waits for no man “
How true that is when looking at the stats of NOTTS aging players , Hales , Samit , Mullaney to name but three, alongside lumbering players in the mould of Carter-and now possibly old faithful Fletch .
Decisions have to be made and contracts not dished out for loyalty reasons

  3. Mullaney shouldn't play t20 . I believe Jake Ball, Matt Carter and Samit will be leaving
