Snippets that I've picked-up since.
Peter Moores says that the Game will ultimately be the judge of Tom Moores. After Tom was brought back into the first eleven as a specialist batter because of his performances in the 2s.
Member had concerns about "lockdown of the pavilion" at the end of Blast games.
Chair reassures members that all will be consulted with about any potential sell out of The H*ndred. [news since has proved that to be a completely false statement]

Sorry for the poor service at present, I'm alittle under the weather at the moment and was absent from the forum yesterday. Thanks to MAG for the regular match reports.
Some content of the Forum needs to be recorded, so if you were able to attend yesterday could you please add you recollections to the comments below or share them via email to the address in the header-band and I'll try to collate a record in a day or so. Thank you in advance to those contributing. Dave
The comments scroll was getting quite long when this was on the other post, so I've started this thread afresh.

The good news is that the Trent Bridge email account is still working and sends out emails.
The bad news is that the email sent was some promotional minute of hype for the Blast but unlike other seasons this year's film won't be winning any awards alas (if I were the judge).
If you've listened to this link or read in the media, you will know that Chair Andy Hunt /CEO Lisa Pursehouse have now only 9 days to contact members, arrange a variety of consultation mediums with those members, consult with the members, formulate a response to the ECB ideally in line with what the members wish and then feedback to the ECB on the 10th May. Unless they intend to go against their own assurances from December.

Nottinghamshire Members' Forum 2024.1
Pravda:
The first members’ forum of the 2024 season will take place at Trent Bridge on Friday 17 May – day one of the Vitality County Championship fixture against Hampshire.
A panel consisting of Chair Andy Hunt, Chief Executive Lisa Pursehouse, Director of Cricket Mick Newell and Head Coach Peter Moores will take questions from the audience during the Lunch interval, which is scheduled to commence at 1pm. [meaning it will last only 25 minutes or so because of the cricket and we can fill that time with safe, fluffy questions from "trusted" members]
The venue’s Derek Randall Suite will play host to the event – situated at the rear of the Hound Road Lower with access gained via the concourse adjacent to the rear of the Pavilion. [standing room only]
There is no requirement to book, or submit questions, in advance. [meaning we don't want your questions, we will arrange our own thank you]
RE: The "restructuring" of the H*ndred
This is [in part] what Chair Andy Hunt wrote to all members on 15 Dec 2023
We will provide any meaningful updates throughout the first quarter of next year – and once we receive proposals, we will share them with you and then undertake a formal consultation process.
That process will include a variety of options to ensure you can all engage with us via your preferred method, and will include written briefings, face-to-face meetings and online options via Zoom.
Irrespective of what you may read or hear, please be reassured that we will keep you fully updated in the months ahead.
This may still be all true, but if the press are saying a formal proposal has been made and the ECB have set a deadline of 9 May 2024 for Counties' responses to those proposals, then where and when will the consultation take place? A Members' Forum 8 days after the fact doesn't really cut it Andy!

ReplyDeleteMEMBERS views to be steam rollered?
Will Mr Hunt get a rough ride at the forum ? Does he actually understand the meaning of the word “ consultation”?
He was not chosen by the members
DeleteHe came though the nominations route
Reason the top table didn't want anyone who would rock their boat so engineered
Who they wanted to lead & not question their agenda & more than likely not to engage the members but follow the script

DeleteWhat would you rather - be lied to, or to be ignored?
ReplyDeleteOr both ?
DeleteWell' we were told the six restaurant made a small profit 🤣 but the loss overall was north of a million' when you take into account the overspend on the build/ fit out costs & the cost of magic mick the 👨🏿🍳 & the cost running of the 6
ReplyDeletePersonally I wouldn't trust them to run a tap' & it concerns me greatly about there competence in the running of the major refurbishment of the pavilion' based on their previous track record of under performing on the 6 project

ReplyDeleteYES - a brief report on the questions asked at the Form yesterday would be appreciated .
No doubt the answers were predictable - as always!
