More back to back games, which I thought the PCA and common sense were against.

  1. Just do not care about a match between "Blaze" and "Bears". It is a county competition, why are Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire not using their famous county names ?

    1. Warwickshire have been known as "Birmingham Bears" for about 10 years now in this competition.

  2. For the ladies' comp at least, using that respectful term, "ladies", partly to annoy the diversity mafia. I believe in diversity, it is the zealots who force it on people, I dislike intensely.

  3. For the first time since I returned to the UK after working abroad, I'm not renewing my season ticket. All to do with management, nothing to do with the players. For me they don't have to win the bloody thing, just compete. I didn't enjoy the atmosphere last year and the social media/cheerleader BS refusing to face up to problems. I'd had enough by game 6 which meant that I didn't bother going to Warwickshire/Birmingham Bears (delete to your preference). Good job really. ("Nottinghamshire's total is the lowest in their T20 history and the fourth worst in English cricket")

    1. Well said, many of us walking away. Sad, but they have really messed our domestic game up. With it in such a mess, international game will suffer massively. Only slight difference, is I think players have a big share of the blame, particularly top players.

  4. The "County" T20 competition 2025 double header at Edgbaston; and not a county name in sight. As above, Derbyshire (here "Falcons") are having a home match in Birmingham !
Cricket is withering away, in the hands of people who just like money.

  6. I really understand your worries Rich. Counties will always be around but I don't think in 5- maybe less- years it will be anywhere near the level it is now or be played so much. Really sad but look at the 50 ov comp. That's the kinda situation its heading.

  7. Huge credit to Major Tom - says he’s been working hard on his white ball skills. Coincidence he’s gone down this route ? Only time will tell
Disappointing figures from “Terry” McCann, you have to be minder-ful he’s still a young batsman learning his trade but with huge potential
Won’t be too bothered 😕 if we didn’t see Daniel Sams again - very disappointing
The not quite so Rolling Stone is what he is thesedays - a player living on past reputation and can’t see him getting anywhere near back to his absolute peak - hope he proves me wrong on that one

  8. 82 NOT OUT
It’s hard to win Blast matches when you concede 200+ runs . Notts conceded 200 + six times this year.
The days of Blast games filling the TB stadium appear to be over . I reckon from now on a crowd of 8,000 will be considered a success . Perhaps Notts should email a questionnaire to all the spectators who bought Blast tickets this season and previously . Simply asking them why they don’t buy tickets more frequently . Is it simply the sheer cost of the match experience ? Or is money being diverted to the HINDRED comp ? I suspect the latter . Perhaps it appeals more to the up and coming thrill seeking gimmicky fans who don’t really understand “ proper cricket “ ?
