Two more articles, to add to those existing there already, have appeared on the club's official website about the 200th anniversary (24th July), which has just past without much fanfare, of what since has been described as First Class cricket. More good work done by the heritage team, which can be easily overlooked.

ReplyDeleteThe scrap value of a full Sovereign ( 8 grams of 22ct gold) has dropped slightly recently . But 200 Sovs today would still sell for OVER £160,000!
A terrific amount of money to play for — today - never mind 200 years ago .
