v Yorkshire LV= at Scarborough

After a fascinating first couple of days this match died as any life in the pitch was erased by the use of the heavy roller. Notts therefore left North Marine Road with a paltry six points to their credit. The DofC was clearly unhappy with the slow progress made by Notts on Day 2 of this fixture.

A blank week (almost) for Notts

It's the last week in May and Notts haven't had a game since Sunday, today is Thursday - however if they had been scheduled a fixture, there is every likelihood it would have been disrupted by the weather (officially the coldest spring in 50 years). I was in Birmingham today and it was more like Manchester in November, little wonder the Champions Trophy related fixture between Pakistan and Sri Lanka was wash-out at Edgbaston.

Compared to the last game at New Road 11 days previously, James Taylor replaced Ed Cowan and Andy Carter who was injured in the warm up was replaced by Ajmal Shahzad who made his List A debut for Notts.

Notts pulled off an outstanding and unexpected win at TB today as Surrey were comprehensively beaten by 114 runs.
Surrey looked strong favourites on a wicket with uneven bounce but against an attack which lacked Surrey’s express pace.

Hales's too hot for Pears

Notts made it three wins out of three in the Comedy League with a somewhat topsy turvey performance.
