James Taylor century but rain spoils the day

James Taylor became only the tenth Notts player ever to score a century on debut as his partners all crashed the ball about before getting out, whilst Taylor accumulation the necessary runs to reach the historic three figures.

On achievement of the landmark score, Read declared leaving the Loughborough students an impossible target of 671 runs in a little over two sessions - ample time for the Notts bowlers to get some rhythm and some wickets however, you would have hoped, but the weather intervened.
