Despite all the good news about selections today, staggered that is not in the ODI squad

Patel, Broad and Swann will be unable to feature in any further cricket for Nottinghamshire this season. Alex Hales and Michael Lumb will miss the last two LV= County Championship matches of the season whilst James Taylor will make an immediate return to Trent Bridge and feature in all domestic cricket until the end of the season.

Rally your troops Mick!

Countdown to September

With a round of LV= matches this week, Notts sit-out, here's a look at the Division One table before it all changes.

Both Lancashire and Worcester need to do "a Durham" and win three games on the bounce to drag Surrey back down.

Who do we want relegated, along with Surrey (assuming you want Surrey relegated)?

Dre to stay until the end of 2014

Andre Adams has extended his Nottinghamshire contract until the 2014 season, at least. The DofC has reiterated that Dre will be preserved for the Championship games only.

England u19s won their 5th place decider v Bangladesh by 4 wickets; Sam Wood 1/39 , 46 (opening). Come home boys (Brett Hutton and Sam Wood), your county needs you!
