Derbyshire choke
After positioning themselves into a push for victory, by midway through day 3, Leicestershire let it slip and the game swung back into Derbyshire's favour. Following a ton by Chesney Hughes the hosts looked to be certain winners, needing 56 from the last 9 overs with 7 wickets intact.
However, after a bout of choking, losing 4/4, including two run outs, leading to last over, Derbyshire had to settle with a draw, eight down and 10 runs short - match drawn. Derbyshire managed to go the whole 2015 season without recording a home championship win.
This game might have been the last for Derbyshire by Mark Footitt (his replacement has already been signed - Andy Carter. It certainly was the last match officiated by umpire Martin Bodenham who now retires
