Dan Christian, signed solely as a one day specialist, showed that he was a real team player in 2016, not only playing, leading and nurturing the second team but also stepping-up when called upon to replace the flightless Bird when it was obvious to all that Mick Newell had signed another lemon.
Dan's aggressive approach isn't suited to FCC as the stats show, but on occasion in those three matches, he did rein-in those basic instincts and bat some overs. Credit given for effort, but horses for courses.
