  1. Of the 4 big signings in late 2018 season, he is the one who has looked a class player most of the time, even in a rather thin 2019

The Leicester air did him good in the recent season, and tremendous figures

I've said it before so it's probably boring....., but, on the basis dear old Gnasher was playing his final few games in the last year of his 3 year deal it's astonishing that the Head Coach opted for him in the red ball format ahead of the much younger Slater. Of course he then had to reverse this ridiculous decision and bring Slater back after Gnasher had very predictably failed(good county pro down the years in fairness to him). That shows the mindset at the club surely especially as its(hopefully) going to be the one season where there pressure was taken off in terms of where the club finished in thiis severely truncated of seasons and we still opted for the so called 'safer' of options

  2. Looking back over the Bob Willis Trophy games where we were probably 50/1 to reach the 5 day Final its very difficult to understand why PM and the DOC didnt give a chance to one or two more of the Second Eleven players.
There must be a few pretty frustrated players at Notts right now who wonder how they will ever be given a run in the First team.
i can well understand putting out our strongest and most experienced 11 players for the Blast 20 Comp because it was obvious from the first game that we would do really well with Dan Christian and Hales in the side.
The BWT games were a lost opportunity to give an outing to inexperienced players who deserved an outing at the higher level.

  3. Averaging 34 officially, but averaging 48 if use the grand mean average system (i.e. the average of each season's averages - which I think is a more robust method). Seems a decent red ball signing - don't know his white ball stats, but think has played some 50 overs but no T20 for Notts Outlaws first team.
