After day 1 was a wash-out, an early start was had on Day 2. After an uncontested toss the students made a Bazballesque assault on the quality Notts bowlers.

Derbyshire Academy protege Nil Priestley made 58 (57) and at 138/4 in 24th over, Olly Meadows has also reach 50 (55) with a six off Toby Pettman.

Without being there and not in the know, it would appear that the bowlers have been setting-up somekind of challenging target to chase.

Tom Loten was "taken" for 30 runs in the last of those overs by Sussex's Tom Hinley, who finished on 83*.

If the bowling was "for real" then Tom Loten with 5-0-66-0 needs to find another job.

Notts reached 122/2 (both retired out) before rain arrived and finished off wharever the contest was.
