80 NOT OUT
ReplyDeleteSome fascinating and surprising stats in those two lists .
Hales ten centuries stand out . His recent performances indicate a slow decline .
Hales hasn’t played List A cricket since 2019 when he opted for white ball only. It’s hard to score runs if you’re not playing ?????
ReplyDeleteI'd say it was impossible to score runs if you're not playing games. Since the arrival of the H*ndred, white ball contracts with counties have effectively been T20 contracts. Regardless of their form, would it be unfair to say that Notts have been short-changed by both Hales and Patel? When they signed their curent deals, there would have been some expectation that they would make some contributions to List A Outlaws.
DeleteWhat on earth happened to Ben Slater in this year’s’ campaign ?
ReplyDelete80 NOT OUT .
ReplyDeleteRef my comments regarding Hales non performance and sparse runs . It was a reference to his overall performances in white ball cricket . His decline is quite obvious . He used to provide a match winning performance roughly one in three innings a few years ago . Now its perhaps one innings in eight or ten . Far too many failures indicate the end of a fantastic run and tapering off career . A lot of young guns are now showing Alex what they can do . An earlier thread mentioned Alex being Blast 20 Captain next season .
A wise decision or not ?
Hales captain of the T20?very unwise in my opinion.Doesnt seem interested half the time.
