ReplyDeleteDidn't get an end name after him, nor a stand, or toilet block. What does that say about those at Trent Bridge that make those decisions? Samit is more deserving of such an accolade for his service to Notts CCC than anyone in the past quarter of a century, in my opinion.

DeleteSamit’s great strength for Notts was that he could fulfil the solitary spinners role that is generally all that is needed in County Cricket, definitely so at TB with our pitches, but then hold a place as a batsman in the top 6 for the majority of his Notts career
This was such a luxury for us for so long, the same way Liam Dawson performs for Hampshire
