Trent Bridge's Domestic Structure Priorities

06/06

Priorities

What are your priorities, don't forget to share them with Trent Bridge on their survey of Members?

If you're not a member anymore or yet, may I suggest you e-write to the club at questions@nottsccc.co.uk

Tell them your preferred format of cricket

Tell them how much cricket you watch and how. Do you watch the stream?

Tell them if you engage or not with the H*ndred.

Do you watch the Blaze?

How often do you attend International cricket?

Tell them if you would prefer the One Day Cup or rounds of the Championship played during the lost month of August when their focus is elsewhere.

From the focus of the questions asked of members in the survey, the club's minds are made-up, there will be a reduction in cricket available to watch, so tell them where the cuts should be or shouldn't be.

You tell them why you aren't a member anymore.

Food for thought from the Grumbler this week publishing attendance figures (source unclear).

Remember prior to 2019 numbers attending Blast games were on the rise, year on year, then we had a global pandemic, Brexit kicked-in and they moved the Blast to school term times and introduced the H*ndred through lies, broken promises and slight of hand to occupy August, marginalising the List A competition in the process, reducing it to a development competition played at remote out grounds.

Net gains if audiences at the August Test Venue competition have never attended a county game., which is unlikely to be all of them.

I do hope that this link works, so please feedback if it does or doesn't.

Trent Bridge Domestic Structure Supporting Information.

This was shared with this year's membership to back up the CEO's argument that scheduling fixtures is too complex a matter for mere mortals to comprehend.

Why just share this with current members, as there are many former members still interested, some of which never renewed after the Championship was cut to 14 games from 16.

The more I read and that includes how priorities have evolved, the more it is evident that those at the top of our club have wasted not just money on Trent Bridge but more crucially time on developing facilities away from Trent Bridge.

Why isn't there a second venue that can regularly host games within the county for all formats other than men's T20?

Why are the facilities so lacking at Lady Bay - it's been a theme for over a decade at forums or AGMs, that "we are looking into it" but very little on the face of it ever changes.....?

Choosing to implant another professional team has brought all those chickens, of zero investment doing nothing, back home roost.

Now they want to cut the County Championship to make room so that Trent Bridge can accommodate Women's cricket as well as Trent Rockets Men and Women.
