ReplyDeleteI’m sure we all remember our game against Yorkshire some years back where I believe Jonny Bairstow scored a double hundred and the wicket was right on the parr side of the ground . It was the shortest boundary I’ve ever seen. My cat π⬛ Amber πΎπΎ could have thrown the ball in to Major Tom if she’d have been fielding on the boundary it was that short
ReplyDeleteThe Hound πΆ Road stand is now my preferred viewing area to watch matches eclipsing the once favourite Raddy Rd middle tier
ReplyDeleteLarger walkways on both the upper and lower decks are essential for me personally these days that people who sit with me are aware of.
It was a particular bonus last season due to the pavilion refurbishment as the clubhouse offered much more space (obviously) and much improved food offering for members which I took advantage of on quite a number of days
Like many I remember the temporary seating on that side of the ground for test matches. Very rarely sit in the Foxyπ¦ Loxy now due to being very uncomfortable in there but it’s a fabulous view especially when the wicket is on that side
ReplyDeleteHad some rowdy T-20 nights in there in the past one in particular, the quarter-final defeat to Hampshire Hawks, springs to mind where from memory South African Neil McKenzie won the game for them ?
