The Building of Trent Bridge Cricket Ground 1994 Stand Wins Medal

With the pavilion project now reaching new heights, I thought a look back at previous building projects as they appeared in the newspapers of the last century might be worth doing over the coming days.

But first a little reminder of the more recent additions to our famous, beloved ground by Collins Hall Green

and then the subsequent additions too.

  1. I’m sure we all remember our game against Yorkshire some years back where I believe Jonny Bairstow scored a double hundred and the wicket was right on the parr side of the ground . It was the shortest boundary I’ve ever seen. My cat 🐈‍⬛ Amber 🐾🐾 could have thrown the ball in to Major Tom if she’d have been fielding on the boundary it was that short

  2. The Hound 🐢 Road stand is now my preferred viewing area to watch matches eclipsing the once favourite Raddy Rd middle tier
Larger walkways on both the upper and lower decks are essential for me personally these days that people who sit with me are aware of.
It was a particular bonus last season due to the pavilion refurbishment as the clubhouse offered much more space (obviously) and much improved food offering for members which I took advantage of on quite a number of days
