From The Mail:
Raheem Ahmed, elder brother of England all-rounder Rehan Ahmed, is on a 20-day trial with county champions Nottinghamshire as he bids to win a full-time contract after years of stress fracture heartache.
Left-arm seamer Ahmed, 22, has endured multiple seasons of disruption due to recurring back issues, but is hoping to follow brothers Rehan, England’s youngest full international across all three formats, and Farhan, the 18-year-old England Lions off-spinner, into the professional ranks.
Raheem emerged from Leicestershire’s academy and has been practising with Nottinghamshire’s 2nd XI at their Lady Bay training base over the first month of the season, featuring in a friendly against Derbyshire’s second team alongside Farhan.
He has spent time within the Notts setup before, most recently last September, but Raheem being placed on a day rate for this three-week stint suggests something more permanent could be on the cards. Counties are allowed to invite trialists for up to five days without pay, but remuneration is required for longer stays under regulations backed by the Professional Cricketers’ Association.
It was a childhood dream for the three brothers to feature alongside each other for England, and they took to the field together for Cavaliers and Carrington in a Nottinghamshire
Premier League win over Cuckney, before Rehan departed the early stages of Leicestershire’s County Championship campaign for a first IPL gig with Delhi Capitals.
Although the other two siblings went wicketless, Raheem bagged two for 37 from his eight overs. Due to a week of IPL overlap, Rehan will also be absent for the start of Leicestershire’s Vitality Blast campaign.
Good that Joe Pocklngton still in the frame for us, is he still playing Minor Counties as well ?

He played a single T20 game for Notts 2nd XI in 2023 and 9 Notts Premier League games for Wollaton in the same year (14 wkts @ 21.92).
