Tykes go top

Yorkshire Carnegie last night beat the reigning Champions, Leicestershire Foxes, by 4 four runs to send the Yorkies to the top of the league and condemn Foxes to their 5th from 6 games defeat.

Hampshire beat Middlesex at Old Deer Park, Richmond by 4 wickets .
Paul Stirling had help set what proved to be a below par target with 82 out of 156/2.
Sean Ervine 75* helped the visitors reach their goal with 4 balls to spare.


Paul Best (3/19) restricted the Gloucestershire to 122/7 at Bristol, despite a Dan Housego 59*. The Bears comfortably hit the necessary runs with 11 balls to spare, Varun Chopra 56*.


Out of form Dynamos re-found some nick in the bat of Herschelle Gibbs. The visiting Derbyshire had been limited to 131/7 at CLS and Gibbs with 83* made short work of the reply. Durham 132/2 with 17 balls remaining.
