Countdown to Taunton Quarter Final

The other QFs:

Lancashire beat Kent by 6 wickets  N 1-0 S
Sussex beat Durham by 5 wickets    N 1-1 S
Worcs beat Glos by 5 wickets          N 2-1 S

SOLD OUT

Tickets went on general sale 09.00 on Monday.

The Somerset website gives a bewildering array of choice for ticket categories for the uninitiated, A, B or C plus a standing room only category, until you look closer...

Monday 09.30 all Cat A seats are gone, snapped up by members of SCCC you would suppose, which leaves Cat B which turns out to be Somerset lower pavilion, behind the wicket, not a bad view but unfortunately you can't sit with anyone you know as only single tickets are left.

Never mind there's Cat C - the Somerset Stand - all square of the wicket or the alcohol free Ondaatje stand, backward of square or Priory Bridge stand, opposite the Somerset Stand.

So if you are able to make tracks to Taunton on the Sunday before the Bank Holiday, hurry and log-in as tickets are selling faster than cream teas in Devon.

Monday 12.30 Cat B is available as earlier - singles only

Cat C is selling fast with only singles left in the Somerset stand (Box 2 only remain) Tickets still available in the Family section of the alcohol free Ondaatje stand.

  1. Restricted view? Is that sitting in the Notts Pavilion when someone 6ft 4in comes to sit in front of you and Rory Kleinveldt comes to field at long on?

Fair to say the weather forky doesn't look the greatest, hopefully will improve for the Outlaws supporters making the pilgrimage down to Trescothickland. Never liked the Cidermen personally, always get impression quite an arrogant outfit for no good reason.Always glad they've never won championship, though had they're best chance back in 2010 when the mighty Notts last won it, but they bottled a run chase on the last day. Can any Notts fans out there remember Hadlee and the 'disputed' catch way back in the day?

    1. Yes 1984. Catch was taken by Jeremy Lloyds who was leaning against boundary boards, the catch was legal based on the rules at the time.

  3. What happens if Sunday is a complete washout? The weather forecast looks really bad. Is there a reserve day?

    1. Monday is the reserve day. Start time unknown, but SKY cameras will not be there.

  4. Sky will probably be putting pressure on for a 5 over slog between the showers tomorrow. Hopefully all concerned will resist this pressure and go for proper game on Monday! Sky should be televising the game either day anyway!
