No Grantham "home" games, with 3 at Welbeck this time. The match on 5th August will be the last scheduled day at Trent Bridge involving Notts at a weekend in 2023 and Notts' last day played at county HQ before the Championship fixture starting 26th September.

Notts full Membership represents poor value for those working full time Monday to Frid especially those without personal transport . Welbeck is not the easiest of places to get to . I am emailing Notts Commercial bod Michael Temple to ask if a supporters coach could not be offered for the three Welbeck fixtures . He could email Members and find out what the demand is like .?
The lack of “proper “ cricket at TB after August 5 th is a shocking situation. The next 4 dayer is literally to be played Goose Fair week .
What do others think ?
In reality I wasn’t expecting too much difference this year. It’s next where there ought to be big changes. No cricket at Trent Bridge for 5 weeks starting in July for just 4 city franchise matches is plain madness.(ashes won well before the summer holiday starts too .)

ReplyDeleteYes Foxy - to his credit , Mike Temple is a good communicator to those that contact him direct by email . The trouble is in the replies! Thd content of which is NOT what you want to hear . Obviously he has to take the Lisa P official reply route.
