Notts head to Neath for their Metro Bank One Day game on 31st July 2024. There have been 43 first-class and 15 List A games on the Gnoll.
It will Notts' first-ever competitive game at the venue. Sussex and Durham are the only other first-class counties to have never played at the venue. Durham should have played a Metro Bank game there on the 8th August this year but the game was unfortunately abandoned without a ball bowled.
Notts Seconds did play a Second Eleven Championship game there in May 1984. The match ended in a rain affected draw. Glamorgan 152-7d & 79-2d. Notts forfeited their first innings and needing 232 to win ended on 158-9 off 53 overs.
The Notts team 39 years ago was Mick Newell, Brett Henschell, Paul Johnson, Duncan Martindale, Chris Scott, Kevin Evans, Andy Pick, David Fraser-Darling, Mike Bore, Mike Hendrick and Andy Afford. Australian all-rounder Henschell was over on a scholarship.
