Surrey Vitality T20 Blast Quarter-Final at Trent Bridge Preview

14/07

They used to be an annual event, but this one is the first since covid*.

Quarter-finals at Trent Bridge, either a rapaciously glorious event or a huge anti-climatic, forgettable letdown. Nothing inbetween. Those are the joys of knock-out cricket.

Jeopardy, that's what Outlaws have been thriving off this season. Take it away and we've been missing something; as in our last two group matches.

Leicestershire weren't up to much and Yorkshire, well nothing was at stake for Notts.

Hopefully that "something" will be back tomorrow.

Such a shame the scheduling can’t be changed to a different day and played at 6:30 to ensure a better crowd but this can’t be done due to dish TV having other stuff on all this week. Goodness me theyre even showing women’s finals day on Friday from the Kia Oval - Whatever next ?

    1. Coach travel to the Oval has been arranged by NCCC.

    1. We still had covid restrictions then. Socially distanced seating. So yes it never happened. πŸ˜ƒ

    3. Mike refers to the 2021 QF where Notts collapsed, bogged down by Dawson and Crane: copy/paste this https://nottsview.blogspot.com/2021/08/hampshire-hawks-vitality-t20-blast-qf.html then delete from memory - lol

  3. 83 NOT OUT
The crystal ball has been dusted down and I saw a Notts player waving his bat about to the crowd and temp changing rooms sometime between 5 pm and 7pm . There was sustained cheering for the player in question !
    Joe Clarke.
A match winning innings perhaps ? No pressure Joe .
