T20-uesday
Three matches in Europe of this variety today with the big one tomorrow, which has an appetiser for Murdoch's Minions too.
For tomorrow's Q/F v Hampshire, Darren Pattinson has been ruled out to be replaced by Jake Ball, who will represent a little known quantity to them apart from the CB40 last week and what Billy the mole Shafayat can tell them.
The Outlaws team: Michael Lumb, Alex Hales, Riki Wessels, James Taylor, Adam Voges (C), Samit Patel, Chris Read, Steven Mullaney, Jake Ball, Harry Gurney, Andy Carter
The team has been announced very early, so expect a change before 7.10 pm tomorrow, Mick has "previous".

Eagles in reply lost their first wicket early 9/1, which quickly became 9/2 as Ravi Bopara went for a 2 ball duck. At half-way house, Essex had lost Alastair Cook for 28, 55/5. With 5 overs to go and with James Foster out for 26, Essex 105/7. Essex's hopes in the hands of Ryan ten Doeschate, over#18 went for 20, bowled by Alfonso Thomas, 29 required from the last two overs.

Sussex Sharks were put into bat at Hove in the third game against Gloucestershire Gladiators who feature Ian Saxelby, the would-be Notts fans favourite, in a different life perhaps.
In the first over, Saxelby removes Chris Nash but once Matt Prior was to the crease the momentum swung to Sussex's advantage. After Prior's demise, Murray Goodwin and Scott Styris took the baton in tandem homing-in on 200. Over 18 went for 38 runs (including 2 no balls and a dot ball), James Fuller the unfortunate bowler, Scott Styris the demolishing batter, 200 was surpassed with ease.

- Not even reaching tea, England lost to South Africa by an innings and 12 runs.
- Samit Patel has called on Notts to be to clinical on Wednesday - "come-on Samit, who is it that's been dropping the catches?" Two in as many days over the weekend.

Patto Turns Renegade
Banjo Pattinson was announced today as a "home-based player" signatory by Melbourne Renegades for the 2012/13 Big Bash, effectively changing his status from English to Australian.
Notts DofC said "it was unlikely Pattinson would return next year in any event". So far this year he has only featured in the T20 games and some of the CB40 ones, returning from a back stress fracture. "Darren's decision changes his status as far as I am aware but with his age and the age of his kids I think it was unlikely he would be looking to stay beyond this season," Newell added.
Let's hope that Patto goes out in a blaze of glory with the Outlaws then!

Grounded!
Somerset in a quest to sign a record number of Overseas players in one season have now grabbed the signature of Abdur Rehman, only to find his arrival is delayed by visa issues.

Mitchell Starc had a farcical trip around the world with a visa problem, but Somerset are clocking up an almanac of excuses this term:
Brian Rose's wisdom in opting for South Africans in a Protea's tour year is open to question; they have already used the services of Albie Morkel, Richard Levi and Vernon Philander in LV= and T20 games.
Somerset's unavailability problems have been compounded by George Dockrell's inclusion in Ireland's U19 World Cup plans.
Notts will share some of those headaches with Somerset, having; Brett Hutton and Sam Wood also heading south for that World Cup, Graeme Swann and Stuart Broad doing whatever they do with senior England, Samit Patel, Alex Hales and James Taylor likely to be England Lions soon again and Michael Lumb has also be included in the England T20 preliminary squad, making the Notts contingent 6.
Tresco has let it be known that he looking to make a comeback in the T20 Q/F
The man-mountain, otherwise known as Luke Fletcher, returned to cricketing action against the Tykes 2nds for the Notts 2nd XI returning 3/27.
Garry Park has left the Sheep of Derby, after he was told they wouldn't be re-newing his contract for next season; he leaves by mutual consent.
